Tennessee's latest commit vaults Vols into top 10 of recruiting rankings

This kid could be the future for Tennessee.

Tennessee just landed four-star running back Ty Chandler out of Nashville, Tennessee. He's ranked as the No. 6 running back in the country by 247Sports and the No. 6 recruit in the state of Tennessee. The 6'0", 195-pound back is expected to be the future of Tennessee's running back group with Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurd likely headed to the NFL next year.

His commitment also gives Tennessee a top 10 recruiting class for 2017 according to 247Sports. The Vols are now ahead of national championship runner-up Clemson in the rankings with 19 three-star recruits and 4 four-star recruits committed.

Chandler had offers from Auburn, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss and Ohio State to name a few schools. In all, he had 15 offers and decided to stay at home with the Vols and is expected to compete with some of the running backs already on the roster once he steps foot on campus.
