The College Football Playoff took quite a few years to happen and after only three years people are already calling for expansion. There was a considerable amount of controversy surrounding this year's Playoff since Ohio State got in with one loss over Penn State who won the Big Ten Conference Championship, but had two losses.

For the most part, it worked the first two years and most people were cool with it. However, the NCAA President is now weighing in on the controversy and says that the field should expand to eight so that the Power Five conference champs get an automatic bid. The Big 12 has been shut out twice (this year and 2014) while the Pac-12 has been shut out once (2015) since the CFP's inception.
If college football had an eight-team playoff this season, here's how the bracket would look:
(1) Alabama vs. (8) Wisconsin
(4) Washington vs. (5) Penn State
(3) Ohio State vs. (6) Michigan
(2) Clemson vs. (7) Oklahoma
While it would pretty much make football a spring sport at that point, it would be fun to get a lot more football games.
