The Georgia Bulldogs have boasted an extensive history of catches.
Sure, most of of them have come on the football field. Michael Johnson's jump-ball touchdown made Auburn fans weep. Lindsay Scott's iconic grab-and-run ignited a famous call dubbed "Run, Lindsay, Run!" Even Kirby Smart has been known to haul in a few passes back in the day.
It might be time to add Josh McAllister to that list. The only exception is that he plays for the UGA baseball team.

The Bulldogs made the trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas over the weekend and took one of three games. Their 7-3 win on Saturday featured one of the more incredible catches you'll see in SEC baseball.
Razorbacks hitter Brady Slavens popped a ball up to begin the bottom of the sixth inning. Georgia second baseman Josh McAllister traveled what looked like 100 feet from his position. He fully extended his body to make a ridiculous diving catch that robbed Slavens of a bloop single.
"Just give him a crown already!" the announcer said.
The Cumming, Georgia native hushed the Arkansas crowd at Baum-Walker Stadium. He helped keep the score tied at 3-3 and added a home run, two runs and three RBIs in the game.
McAllister's catch even garnered national attention by landing the No. 4 spot on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays on Sunday.
"That's as good a play as you can make," UGA head coach Scott Stricklin said of the catch. "The wind blowing in helped it. Off the bat, I thought it was down for sure, and he just kept closing on it and the win knocked it down. It was almost like a quarterback throwing to a wide receiver, and it was just a complete layout and great catch."
Stricklin was spot-on. Maybe McAllister should try out at wide receiver for the football team if he can haul in balls like that.
