It's a bird, it's a plane, it's...OK I'll stop with this terrible, antiquated opening line. But it is Kason Howell, the Auburn centerfielder who has never been seen in the same room as Spiderman. (Watch out, Tom Holland, he's coming for your gig.)

When Kason Howell isn't crushing inside-the-park home runs against rival Alabama, he's patrolling centerfield like a mall cop who takes his job way too seriously.
His latest trick? Scaling the wall for a home run robbery of epic proportions.

Auburn won a midweek game against Jacksonville State, 8-4, but when fans in Jacksonville, Alabama left the stadium there was only one thing they were probably talking about: the catch.
In the bottom of the third inning, J-State's TJ Reeves (who, by the way, transferred from Alabama after spending the last three seasons there) lifted a fly ball to center that looked like it was long gone.
That's when Auburn centerfielder Kason Howell scaled the fence and reached over the wall to rob him of what was a surefire home run. It looked like something Ken Griffey Jr. or Mike Trout would have done, and it was simply incredible. That it came against someone who used to play for the Crimson Tide...well, chef's kiss.
The best part about the play, in my opinion, was that Howell pulled it off right in front of two kids beyond the fence. One of them even visibly puts his hands over his mouth in disbelief.
Kason may have finished the game 0-for-5, but the senior from Argyle, Texas still walked away with a play that hit the No. 2 spot on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays. Maybe he should consider trying out at wide receiver.
DaDaDa, DaDaDa 🎶

Kason is one of the team's best hitters — he's hitting .305, which looks meh compared to fan-favorite Sonny DiChiara's .448 line. As long as Kason Howell's making catches like these, Auburn fans have a ton to be excited about.
