LSU Dad Grills 25-Pound Gator Ahead of College World Series Game Against Florida

Slugger Cade Beloso's father was sending a clear message in the parking lot.

Ahead of Sunday's Game 2 of the Men's College World Series between the LSU Tigers and Florida Gators, one proud LSU dad grilled a gator in the Lot D parking area.

Like, literally grilled a 25-pound alligator.

The man seen doing it was Rodney Beloso, the father of Tigers slugger Cade Beloso, who plays first base and the outfield.

As you'll see in the video below, the gator — which is, of course, the mascot of Florida — is fried and ready for consumption.

In the background, as Rodney Beloso opens the grill, you can hear someone saying, "Oh yeah!" quite exuberantly. Unfortunately for him and his tailgate attendees, the Gators won in historic fashion, scoring 24 runs — the most ever in a College World Series game.

As for Cade Beloso, he went 0-2 with three walks. Still, he's been a massive part of the Tigers' success this season, batting .326 with 16 home runs and 47 RBIs. Beloso also performed exceptionally well in Game 1's 4-3 win, going three for five with a walk, a home run, two RBIs and two strikeouts. The home run came off Gators pitcher Brandon Neely, who struck Beloso out in his prior at-bat. Beloso's home run came in the top of the 11th inning and ultimately decided the game.

When no gators are roasted, it seems, the Tigers win. We'll have to wait and see Rodney's approach ahead of Game 3, when the Tigers and Gators square off in their winner-take-all matchup Monday, June 26, at 7 p.m. ET.
