When thinking of the greatest college softball players of all time, Aubree Munro has to be on the list. The catcher provided plenty of offensive fireworks to complement her excellent glove behind the plate.
Munro, the daughter of Denise and Dave Morris, first attracted the attention of NCAA coaches while attending high school in her hometown of Brea Olinda, Calif.. She committed to the Florida Gators, and the rest is history.
Excitingly, softball is back in the Summer Olympics, and Munro will get the chance to play for USA Softball in Tokyo this summer.
Before getting to what's in store, let's take a look back at the backstop's tenure on the Gators' softball team.

Munro arrived on Florida's campus for the start of the 2013 season. And while she started 30 games, she only accrued 55 at-bats to the tune of a .145 average.
Her sophomore campaign was a step in the right direction, as she totaled three home runs and 24 RBI. Her work behind the dish was a catalyst to Florida's success, and the Gators became national champions. Remarkably, Munro committed just two errors in 307 chances.
Florida repeated as champions in 2015, and Munro was named to the WCWS All-Tournament Team and the All-America Scholar-Athlete team.
Her collegiate career ended in 2016 with a .283 average, three home runs (including a grand slam), and the lowest opponents' stolen base percentage (45.5 percent) in school history.

Although Munro graduated in 2016, her fastpitch career hasn't been stalled.
She currently plays in the Athletes Unlimited league, and will also represent the entire nation on the U.S. Women's National Team in Japan. The Americans have a great chance at earning a gold medal, and she will be the one calling the game for the stable of aces this team has.
Aubree Munro is one of the most decorated college athletes in history. Though she wasn't always an offensive powerhouse, her contributions were just a bonus to her incredible work on the defensive side of the game.
