And here we thought Paige Spiranac was the only golf girl who was doing slo-mo videos of her swing. Well, not so. Grace Charis has released one of her own.
Videos by FanBuzz
Charis' video lasted all of five seconds. (It has since been made unshareable.) So it doesn't really tell you much about her game. But it is a carbon copy of those being done by Spiranac — and all of those have been a hit. So, hey, why not if you're Charis?
This follows a Charis post in which she called herself a nerd. But her fans will tell you if that's the case, they really like nerds.
"Once a nerd always a nerd," she captioned a post on Instagram. The song "Forever Young" played in the background as Charis showed some clips of her younger self. She hardly looked like a nerd then, either — though she was sporting some glasses.
Either way, Charis highlighted the video of her taking some golf swings, showing that she's actually becoming quite accomplished at the game. Nerd or not.
Of course, as is generally the case with these influencers, she's just posting for clicks and more importantly, cold hard cash. For better or worse, the word "influencer" is really just code for "makes money by looking good." But hey, whatever works, right?
For Charis, it's worked well.
So, who is Grace Charis, exactly? Well, she hails from Newport Beach, California, and reportedly began her golf career just a couple of years ago. She's been called a social media entrepreneur and influencer, with everything she posts being golf-themed (and oh-so-popular).
And yes, she has turned pro in the sport.
As Marca.com wrote:
"At age 21, Grace is no novice in creating content that blurs the lines between the sport of golf and the realms of fashion and sensuality. Her repertoire includes an array of saucy content, from going braless on the greens to donning a low-cut red top while playing golf in Hawaii. Each post showcases her flair for integrating golf with bold fashion statements, thus attracting a broad spectrum of attention to the sport."
