Tempers should never flare the way they do at youth football games, or any youth sporting events, for that matter. What's sad is that while the pint-sized players are just looking to have fun, parents and coaches can ruin a game for everyone.
We've seen everything from pee wee coaches attacking referees, coaches punching their own helpless players and even coaches choking one another out over playing time. When will this end?
Apparently not anytime soon. A flag football coach in Michigan let his anger get the best of him and sucker-punched a parent in the middle of a game over the weekend.

The video above took place at a youth flag football game on Saturday at Midwest Performance Academy in Niles, Michigan. WNDU picked up the story (and the clip uploaded by YouTube account Arthur Delcobble) and it has local readers up in arms.
The coach in blue was upset over a call made by a referee, according to WNDU. Another coach attempts to calm him down by guiding him off the field.
Next thing you know, the hot-headed coach sucker punches the smirking parent (who is much bigger) and drops him like a sack of potatoes from the grocery store.
Mayhem then ensues. A child can be heard crying in the video. One woman says, "that guy is a psychopath!" The dad who was punched can be seen getting up, so it appears the blow didn't hurt him too badly.
Nope. This won't fly. That "coach" should never be allowed to be affiliated with youth sports again. I don't care if the dad on the sidelines said something that pissed the dude off even more. You can't have this type of stuff happening around little kids.
WNDU reached out to Niles Police Captain Kevin Kosten, who said the man who was punched contacted the police afterward.
"The victim, the person who got punched, came to the police department to report that he was assaulted and apparently the coach didn't like how this spectator was looking at him. He referenced that may be he was smiling at the coach and so this coach just happened to punch him, sucker punch him, which to me means punch him in the face. There's definitely a possibility that he could be charged with assault and battery. Some of that will certainly be up to the victim but assault and battery would be an appropriate charge in this case," Kosten said.
Given that there's a clear video of the punch, I'd say one can expect some charges.
