Well, we officially have one of the first LSU Tigers power couples — gymnast and social media sensation Olivia Dunne and MLB first overall pick Paul Skenes.
Rumors surrounding the two have been going on for quite some time, and Skenes, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, confirmed it to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
"It's nice, for sure," Skenes said. "It can be a pain in the butt sometimes, to be honest, in terms of actually going somewhere. If one of us went out in Baton Rouge [La.] by ourselves, there's probably gonna be someone there asking for something — picture, autograph, whatever.
"It's nice to be able to have that conversation. She does get it. I do wish she could come to a baseball game and just enjoy it. It does irk me. I don't have any control over it. She really doesn't either. I'm sure it'll get better as I go up levels, but that's something I want for her."
The rumors have swirled all summer, but they're now officially a couple. Dunne was in Bradenton for Skenes' Single-A debut for the Bradenton Marauders, and naturally fans have snapped plenty of pictures and videos of her cheering him on:

Dunne boasts 7.7 million followers on TikTok and 4 million follower on Instagram. She's also the queen of NIL deals as an LSU gymnast. Skenes helped pitch the Tigers to a College World Series national championship over the summer before being taken first overall.
Their "how they met" story is something LSU fans should gush over.

In the same interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Skenes explained how the two first linked up.
Skenes' best friend at LSU was dating Dunne's roommate and gymnastics teammate, Elena Arenas, who is often featured on Dunne's TikTok account. That bestie, by the way, is fellow LSU pitcher Garrett Edwards.
"Just a small-world type of thing," Skenes said.
Dunne is currently in her final year at LSU, while Skenes will look to make his way through the Pirates organization quickly. Whether or not the relationship lasts doesn't matter because it's an LSU fan's match made in heaven.
