For those who feel weekday afternoon Interleague play in late June isn’t fun, guess again. Or, at the very least, understand the Tampa Bay Rays and Washington Nationals certainly made it interesting on Tuesday.

If a 1-0 thriller at Tropicana Field wasn’t enough to make you happy, Rays closer Sergio Romo chirping at Nationals centerfielder Michael Taylor and forcing the benches to clear after the final out should do the trick.

Tampa Bay won both home games against Washington this week after the Nationals took two in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.

Considering it’s unlikely both of these teams will reach the World Series, it’s a shame the baseball world doesn’t get a rubber match or the opportunity to see what happens next for a long while.
