The incident occurred during the sixth inning of the Yankees 6-3 win over the Angels. Yankees hitter Ben Rice sent a ball into the first-base camera well, and it hit a photographer in the head.
Head trainer Tim Lentych called for a cart while the Yankees medical staff rushed into action to tend to the photographer. The man ultimately walked to the waiting medical cart under his own power. Though he did have a brace on his neck.

According to the New York Post, the ball came off Rice's bat at 79.5 mph as the trajectory took it directly toward the photographer.
"Very relieved," Rice said about the incident. "I saw it, he definitely was not ready for any kind of impact there, he was looking the other direction.
"I wasn't sure how square it hit him in the head, but definitely a scary scene, so happy to hear he's OK."
The game ultimately resumed after the pause for the injured photographer. Rice continued with his at-bat appearance, and he ended the night with two hits and an RBI.
The 6-3, 10-inning win closed out a three-game series between the Angels and the Yankees. The two teams will now continue with the regular season while preparing for roster expansion and the postseason.
The Yankees will next take on the Padres in a three-game series that begins on Friday. The schedule will then continue with series against the Rockies and the Mets.
The Angels, which just sold to Rams owner Stan Kroenke, will continue the season with a three-game series against the Pirates. The team will then take on the Red Sox and the Nationals to move the calendar deep into September.
