LeBron James takes fans to task in criticism of new teammate Isaiah Thomas

He was clearly upset with some people.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James went on a Twitter rant Thursday in defense of new teammate Isaiah Thomas.

James bashed Boston Celtics fans who apparently burned Thomas' jersey following Tuesday's trade with the Cavaliers in exchange for Kyrie Irving.

Of course, James is no stranger to fans of his former team burning jerseys. Following his infamous "Decision" to join the Miami Heat in 2010, Cavs fans took the same measures to show their displeasure.

The difference, however, was James decided to leave Cleveland on his own merit, whereas Thomas was dealt by Boston in order to acquire Irving, one of the most sought after players in the league.

Others players have also expressed their displeasure in how the Celtics shipped Thomas, who as James mentioned, played in a playoff game earlier this year shortly after the death of his sister.

Kevin Durant, who has been labeled by many as "disloyal" for leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors last year, apparently liked a tweet criticizing Boston and anyone questioning the loyalty of an NBA player.

There's no denying that Thomas deserves better from the Boston fans after carrying the team to an Eastern Conference Finals appearance, especially while dealing with a personal tragedy.
