The 37-year-old considered retiring last season before signing a three-year, $7.6 million deal. He is guaranteed $2.5 million for the 2017-18 season. His salary isn't guaranteed for the 2018 season, so next year could be Jefferson's last in the league.
Jefferson is a 16 year NBA veteran who averaged just under six points and three rebounds last season in 20 minutes per game off the bench for the Cavaliers.
While the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, and Oklahoma City Thunder have all improved their rosters during the offseason, the Cavs haven't made any significant moves. As of now, it looks as if they will have the same exact team next year.
Their roster is good enough to reach the Finals for the fourth straight season, but it likely won't be enough for LeBron James to win his fourth NBA title.
