Steinfeld announced the news on Thursday with a post on her Substack page, Beau Society. She did not provide the date of birth or the name of the baby.
"Our baby girl has arrived!!" Steinfeld wrote in a post titled "Special Delivery" on Thursday. "We're feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes."
Allen and Steinfeld went public with their relationship in 2023. They exchanged vows during a wedding in May 2025, and then they announced on Dec. 12, 2025, that they were expecting their first child.
They have provided a few visual updates on their journey with Instagram, which includes a photo of them sipping coffee together in the dining room. The photo showed the baby bump.
Steinfeld has also provided updates with her Substack page. One post, in particular, focused on the extensive preparation process.
"This week, I was sitting on the couch in my family room, and the reality that our little family is about to grow really started to settle in," she wrote in her "Ducks in a Row" post. "Of course, I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I've been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you're about to have a baby.
"But the most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I'm having with myself almost every day. Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together."
Steinfeld also provided insight into the "nesting" process, which included building out the nursery in their home. She wrote about picking out a rocking chair, crib sheets, and a sound machine. She also revealed her favorite alcohol-free champagne, something that became a "go-to drink" during her pregnancy.
