The fourth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Campbell proposed after closing out his first season with the New England Patriots. He popped the question and then he and Nussmeier took part in an engagement with family and friends.

"ME & YOU FOREVER !!! (ring emoji)(clinking glasses emoji)," Nussmeier wrote in an Instagram Stories post that is no longer available.

Nussmeier has since posted multiple photos from the proposal and the party. One photo on Instagram showed Campbell down on one knee while putting the ring on her finger.

"5.23.2026. here's to us !!!," she wrote in the caption. "A love I've always prayed for! In full gratitude for the Lord's perfect timing and story. Can't wait to do life with you!!!"

The couple first began dating while both attending LSU. Campbell departed the university after the 2024 season and entered the NFL draft. Nussmeier will graduate from LSU in 2027.

According to the Patriots, Nussmeier's brother, Garrett, actually made the connection and set up the relationship. Garrett just landed with the Chiefs as a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Campbell suited up at left tackle in 13 regular-season games as a rookie. He protected quarterback Drake Maye and earned a pass blocking grade of 76.1 from Pro Football Focus.

While Campbell allowed five sacks throughout the season, he also helped the Patriots go on a massive run. This team went 14-3 in the regular season and won the AFC East. They then defeated the Chargers, Texans, and Broncos to win the AFC championship.

The season ended in Super Bowl 60 as the Patriots faced off with the NFC champion Seahawks. The Patriots lost 13-29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The team will now aim to defend the AFC title and return to the Super Bowl. Campbell will also prepare for his upcoming wedding.
