While many remember former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck for his abrupt retirement before the 2019 season, the 29-year-old and four-time Pro Bowler was excellent during his time in the NFL. Now he's passing that knowledge onto young players at Palo Alto High School.

Located on the east side of El Camino Real, Luck has returned to the football field for the first time since saying he needed to remove himself from the game.
It took just one day for him to learn the plays.
"The first week he got here, we have our whole playbook and he walks in not knowing any of our plays," Palo Alto senior quarterback Declan Parker said. "The next day he comes, he knew every single play. It was crazy — he knows everything about football."
Luck, now 33, returned to the Bay Area last fall to start his master's program at Stanford's School of Education. The Mercury News asked to interview Luck. He declined but did mention he has aspirations to coach.
Dave DeGeronimo, the coach of Palo Alto, said Luck reached out via email last fall, but Geronimo initially missed the email. Luck then called to follow up and spoke to Palo Alto athletic director Jennifer Crane in April to make the connection.
