Jaguars WR Christian Kirk Delivers TD Celebration of The Year

Nearly 20 years since Joe Horn pulled a cell phone out from underneath the goalpost at the SuperDome, Jacksonville Jaguars star wide receiver Christian Kirk delivered an even more impressive celebration to the Big Easy.

After Kirk pulled down a 44-yard touchdown to put the Jaguars ahead of the Saints, 30-24, with 3:19 remaining in Thursday night's contest, the 26-year-old mimicked an Amazon delivery driver dropping off a package at a doorstep by placing the football on the field in front of the goalpost, miming taking a photograph, before knocking on the goalpost as if it were a front door.

What made Kirk's celebration even more impressive is the fact that, of course, the game was being broadcast on Prime Video.

Kirk has developed into one of the Jaguars' most prolific offensive weapons, and a favorite target of quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

In Thursday night's contest, Kirk caught all six of his targets for 90 yards with a touchdown. Through the first seven games of the season, Kirk has caught 39 passes for 374 yards three scores.

Since signing with the Jaguars as a free agent prior to last season, Kirk has elevated his game to new heights, catching 123 passes for 1,582 yards with 11 touchdowns in 24 games after the former Arizona Cardinals' arrival in Duval.

It's easy to see how Kirk has risen up Lawrence's target hierarchy, given that he has dropped only two passes so far this season and the fact that Lawrence has a 113.9 passer rating on his 52 targets.

Likewise, Kirk set quite a lofty bar for others to clear when it comes to touchdown celebrations, not just from a creativity standpoint but also the awareness that the game was being streamed on Prime, which made it all the more impressive and even funnier to watch unfold.

Next up for Kirk and the division-leading Jaguars is a trip to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.
