Las Vegas Raiders Star Claims Team Has Locked Him Out of Facility

Las Vegas Raiders star Chandler Jones took to Instagram making accusations that the team has locked him out of facilities.

The Las Vegas Raiders head into the 2023 season with plenty of uncertainty, but now another layer has been added on in the wake of some startling accusations from star pass rusher Chandler Jones.

Just days away from the team's Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos, Jones took to Instagram with claims that the Raiders have locked him out of team facilities. The 33-year-old also shared texts that he sent, presumably to Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler, about his frustrations with the organization.

The Raiders pass rusher also posted that he no longer wants to play for the Raiders before deleting the posts.

Jones signed on with the Raiders prior to the 2022 season, inking a three-year, $52.5 million deal with head to the AFC West. While previously one of the top pass rushers in the NFL, Jones racked up just 4.5 sacks in 15 games this past season, making him one of the bigger letdowns in the NFL this past season given the contract the Raiders gave him.

Prior to signing on with the Raiders, Jones was a top-tier pass rusher with the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals. His career accolades include two first-team All-Pro selections and four Pro Bowl appearances while racking up 112 sacks and 34 forced fumbles during his career.

As a former Super Bowl champion, Jones was supposed to be a bright spot on a Raiders defense hoping to turn things around. Instead, the situation between Jones and the franchise seems to something much more concerning for fans, and it's unclear if the 33-year-old will be suiting up for the Raiders in Week 1 or any time in the near future.

Until then, Raiders fans will continue monitoring Jones' social media activity.
