San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and actress Olivia Culpo have made a major announcement. They are expecting their second child together.

The couple dropped the news on Friday with a post on Instagram. They uploaded photos of themselves enjoying a picnic in a field. They had a puppy and their first child, Colette Annalise, with them. A series of ultrasound photos sat on the picnic blanket, partially held down by a basket of apples.
"Best birthday gift," Culpo wrote in the caption. "Baby #2 coming soon."

This message prompted several responses from friends and fans of the couple. Mariel Swan, wife of NASCAR pit crew member Paul Swan and a friend of the family, wrote, "Aggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! COONNGGRATTTTUULATTTIONSSSS!!!!!!!!"
The announcement comes less than one year after another big milestone in the the family. McCaffrey and Culpo, who married in June 2024, welcomed Colette in July 2025. Now, they are preparing to add another baby to the family.
"My second goddaughter," wrote fullback Kyle Juszczyk on Instagram. "I'm truly honored beyond belief."
McCaffrey and Culpo have been together for several years. They first sparked intrigue in 2019 when Instagram users noticed the then-Panthers running back liking a post on Culpo's account. Photographers then captured the couple on vacation in Mexico.
They went official in November 2019 and then footage surfaced in December 2019 of Culpo celebrating McCaffrey joining the elite list of players to post 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in the same season.
The relationship continued in 2022 as the 49ers traded for the former Stanford star. They then took it to the next level in April 2023 when McCaffrey proposed during a trip to Utah.
"We tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible but apparently word travels fast," Culpo wrote in an Instagram post. "I'm marrying my best friend, I love you so much, fiancé."
