Christian McCaffrey's Mom Says She's Boycotting Taylor Swift's Music

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Lisa McCaffrey will be turning off Taylor Swift's music in support of her son, 49ers star Christian McCaffrey.

From the Grammys to the NFL, Taylor Swift and her music has been all anyone is talking about. But don't tell Lisa McCaffrey that.

The mother of San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey is boycotting Swift's music ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, which will feature the 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, who Swift's boyfriend — Travis Kelce — plays for. Lisa explained why she'll be turning off the radio when any of Swift's albums come on this week in a playful interview on her "Your Mom" podcast.

"I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next 11 days," Lisa said. "I love her, I love the relationship, but yep, we are boycotting any T. Swift songs."

Lisa said that she and her oldest son, Max McCaffrey, are big fans of the 14-time Grammy winner, which will make the boycott that much more difficult.

"If she pops up on the radio station ... nope," Lisa said jokingly. "She's dead to us this week."

Well, we certainly can't blame Lisa.

She also went on to say that no one in her family could afford a suite for the big game in Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium. The suites are reportedly more than $1 million and can cost as much as $2.5 million. Christian is making $12 million this season.

"Not even Christian [McCaffrey] moneybags over there nor moneybags Olivia [Culpo], so we are not in a suite," she said.

Lisa could've reached out to Swift herself, but then Culpo, a former Miss Universe winner and Christian's fianceé, announced on her Instagram story that she bought a suite for Lisa's birthday.

"Fake News! Happy Birthday Lisa, I bought you a suite," Culpo wrote.

This is shaping up to be a pretty star-studded suite, which might even rival the one Swift will inevitably be in. Either way, we know what artist won't be playing on the speakers inside Lisa McCaffrey's suite come Sunday.
