Most NFL players will admit that they wish they could skip team meetings, and during Wednesday's practice, this came true for the Philadelphia Eagles as their hero for the day, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, made a basketball shot to help get practice canceled.

The situation was set up where the coaches gave the team an opportunity to go home early if the selected player, who was C.J., could sink a long shot. With the pressure of about 90 players looking on, the sixth-year NFL safety came up clutch, doing his best Kobe impersonation.

Following the swish, the whole room exploded and started shaking C.J.'s hand, as they were now free for the rest of the day instead of being stuck inside of boring meetings.
This was a good welcome back moment for Gardner-Johnson, who previously played with the team during the 2022 season, as he had a career-high six interceptions en route to leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl LVII berth.
After playing one season with the Lions last year, and leading them to the NFC Championship, Philadelphia has brought back their star defensive back on a three-year $27 million dollar deal.
Seemingly, the Eagles are a favorite to win the NFC East division this year, as they started last season with a 10-1 record, before a disappointing finish, ending up 11-6.
In view of Gardner Johnson's sweet shooting form, the former fourth-round New Orleans Saints draft pick is undoubtedly a hooper and hopes to be a key contributor for his team on the field, as his new/old teammates in Philadelphia will certainly be counting on him.
