Last year, after the Cleveland Browns wrapped up a miserable 1-15 campaign, head coach Hue Jackson promised his team wouldn't go 1-15 again.

"We're not going 1-15 next year," Jackson said via ESPN. "You can write it if you like. Hue Jackson said it. It's the way it is."
"I'm not going 1-15. No. I'll be swimming in that lake over there somewhere. That's not happening."

Fast forward nearly one year, and the Browns are sitting at 0-14 for the second straight season. Last year, they defeated the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Eve for their lone win. If Jackson doesn't want to finish 1-15 again, they'll need to beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday and the Pittsburgh Steelers the following week.
To be fair, the Browns could technically finish 0-16, so he wouldn't have to live up to his promise of swimming in the lake (presumably Lake Erie). But that's not what he meant when he declared the Browns weren't going 1-15 again.
Jackson is 1-29 as head coach of the Browns, and Cleveland has had the worst stretch of any team in NFL history over the last two years.
They've had chances to win games this year. They were close against the Green Bay Packers before losing in overtime, and they had narrow defeats against the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.
Cleveland has a shot at winning on Sunday against the Bears, but they're still nearly a touchdown underdog. Perhaps the most shocking part of this is that Jackson has been rumored to be a candidate for the Cincinnati Bengals vacancy after Marvin Lewis steps down.
It's hard to imagine Jackson coming back to Cleveland next year, but then again, this is the Browns.
