Rival playoff contenders "among teams interested" in adding two-time Super Bowl champion

He was released from the Steelers earlier in the week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers waived long-time veteran James Harrison earlier in the week, and according to a report from CBS, the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots may be interested in adding the linebacker:

As of this writing, the Patriots hold the No. 1 seed, while the Ravens hold the No. 4 seed. Both teams are rivals of the AFC North-leading Steelers.

Harrison leaves Pittsburgh with 82.5 career sacks, eight interceptions and 570 tackles. Among active players, he is eighth in sacks. His 80.5 sacks in Pittsburgh are a franchise-best — he also had a stint with the Bengals for a season. As recent as 2016, Harrison led the Steelers in season sacks with five.
