Two-time Pro Bowler hit with enormous fine over Week 17 incident

That is an absolutely ridiculous fine.

Two-time Pro Bowler Jarvis Landry is paying a big price for his role in a scuffle between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills this past weekend.

In fact, according to Pro Football Talk, that fine is to the tune of $48,620.

Landry was ejected after a fight with the Bills that sparked after Landry scored on a one-yard touchdown catch. PFT has confirmed that Landry has been fined $48,620 for unsportsmanlike conduct as a result of the incident.

That's a huge fine from the NFL for what was ultimately a small act of aggression in the grand scheme of NFL extra-curricular activity. Frankly, Rob Gronkowski's brutal act of aggression was much, much worse, but apparently, the fact that Landry's head-butt and shove started a brawl was enough reason for the NFL to come down extremely hard on him.

Per PFT, running back Kenyan Drake — who was ejected along with Landry after he took the helmet off one of his opponents and threw it across the field — was fined $12,154 for his part in the scuffle. Defensive end Cameron Wake was also fined by the NFL, per PFT, but not because of the scuffle. He was fined for a facemask penalty during the game, costing him $9,115.

Add it all up and the Dolphins paid a hefty $69,889 in fines this past weekend. Landry, obviously, got the brunt of the league's frustration, though.
