Report: Jerry Jones just took his feud with Roger Goodell to new heights

Jerry Jones is reportedly furious.

Jerry Jones has spoken out publicly over NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's decision to suspend Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott over an alleged domestic violence situation he was never charged on.

Now, Jones is reportedly going out of his way to block Goodell's contract extension to keep him in position as NFL commish.

According to the New York Times, Jones is threatening to sue the league and fellow owners over negotiations to extend Goodell's contract:

Jones reportedly told six owners on the compensation committee he had hired lawyer David Boies and plans to serve legal papers on Friday if the committee does not scrap plans to extend Goodell.

"After Jones spoke to the committee by conference call last week, the six owners revoked Jones's status as an ad hoc member of the compensation committee, which decides on compensation packages for the top league officials."

Goodell has been criticized for his handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence situation, DeflateGate, Josh Brown's domestic violence situation and the ongoing Colin Kaepernick-national anthem controversy.

Jones, one of the most powerful owners in the NFL, is the latest to be fed up, and that's apparently terrible news for Goodell.
