Josh McDaniels was supposed to become the new head coach of the Colts, but he decided to return as the offensive coordinator for the Patriots. That led Colts general manager Chris Ballard to declare that the rivalry was "back on."

But Patriots owner Robert Kraft doesn't believe the rivalry ever went anywhere. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kraft is still bitter about the Colts ratting out the Patriots for DeflateGate, and he made sure to bring McDaniels back to stick another dagger in the Colts.

And in case you were wondering, yes, the Patriots and Colts do play next season in Foxborough. There will be plenty of drama leading up to that game.

The Colts and Pats had several memorable battles in the 2000s between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, and as Ballard said, the rivalry isn't going anywhere.
