NFL coach’s wife tweets, then deletes statement on Donald Trump after recent player criticism

NFL coach's wife tweets that she regrets voting for Donald Trump.

The Oakland Raiders just played and lost to the New England Patriots 33-8 in Mexico City, and Jack Del Rio's team fell to 4-6 on the year. But it's Del Rio's wife, Linda, who is making headlines after the game.

Linda Del Rio tweeted — and then deleted — that she regretted voting for President Donald Trump after spending time in Mexico City.

Del Rio's tweet came after Trump tweeted that Marshawn Lynch should be suspended for kneeling during the national anthem, but standing during the Mexican national anthem.

The Del Rio's worked with Mano Amiga, a non-profit organization, and the Jack Del Rio Foundation donated $10,000 to the cause. The Raiders and the NFL also gave $10,000, and the Raiders hosted a free football clinic in Mexico.

Linda Del Rio has deleted the tweet, and her husband hasn't mentioned the tweet. Her account is now set to private.

Don't be surprised if Trump tweets about the Raiders again in the near future.
