The Department of Justice released on Friday 3.5 million documents related to Epstein, the alleged sex offender who died in prison in August 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges. These documents listed Tisch's name at least 440 times, and they included numerous emails between the two.
Some of the mentions of Tisch were appointment reminders for Epstein to reach out and talk to the Giants co-owner.
"We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments," Tisch said in a statement from the Giants on Friday.
"I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with."
The specific emails were from 2013. One exchange from 2013 featured Tisch, a prominent film producer, asking about a specific woman. Epstein responded by saying the unidentified woman was Tahitian and that she "speaks mostly french exotic." Tisch asked if the woman was a "working girl," to which Epstein responded "Never."
A different email exchange followed up a meeting between the Giants co-owner and an unspecified woman. Epstein wrote: "report just in, you did very well, she wants to go to the play, she is a little freaked by the age difference but go slow... i will try to convince her not to return to Ukraine. having her crying worked."
Tisch responded to this email, saying: "Nice report... Funny comment on crying!!!"
Another email from September 2013 featured Tisch offering Epstein two tickets to a suite for a Giants game.
Epstein extended an invitation to the team co-owner to come visit his island, Little St. James, where he allegedly operated his sex trafficking activities. The emails do not make it clear if Tisch ever visited this island.
Epstein had connections to countless high-profile figures during his life. This included politicians, celebrities, and business executives. As more files become unsealed, more names surface from different industries.
Tisch is not the only NFL figure mentioned in the Department of Justice database. Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris also appears, but in a different manner. The mentions of Harris were from conversations between Epstein and Harris's assistants.
"Josh Harris never had an independent relationship with Jeffrey Epstein," a spokesman for the Commanders owner said. "Harris sought to prevent Epstein's attempts to develop a corporate relationship with Apollo. As these emails indicate, Harris sought to avoid meeting with Epstein, canceling meetings and having others return his calls."
