Malik Nabers: 'No attitude' during Giants loss, just 'NBF'

New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers appeared frustrated during last weekend's 21-6 loss to the Washington Commanders, but he said it was not for the expected reasons. He just said he has an "NBF (natural b**** face)" that makes him look this way.

"Everybody was just talking about how I have an attitude and stuff like that," Nabers told media members in a video posted by Giants beat writer Pat Leonard. "It's just...I got an NBF. I got a natural b**** face (laughs). That's just what it is.

"I don't know. When y'all talk to me, I look the same way every time. I don't know. It's just how I am."

Nabers faced questions about his frustration after the Fox Sports camera showed him on the sidelines late in the loss to the Commanders. He had a towel over his head. At other points of the game, he appeared frustrated as the offense struggled to generate anything against the Commanders.

As the second-year receiver said, he tried to get the offense going. It was time to play. Any frustration did not stem from a lack of targets from veteran quarterback Russell Wilson.

Nabers furthered his point by saying that Wilson looked his way 12 times during this NFC East battle. He caught five of these passes for 71 yards while averaging 14.2 yards per reception. His longest catch went for 25 yards.

Compare these numbers to Nabers's first two games against the Commanders. He made his debut against the team in Week 2 of last season, and he caught 10 passes on 18 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown. The Giants lost 18-21.

The next matchup took place in Week 7. Nabers received 11 targets, and he caught nine passes for 59 yards. The Giants lost this matchup 22-27. He had former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones throwing passes his way in both of these matchups.

Jones is now a member of the Colts, while Wilson is under center for the Giants. His tenure with Big Blue is only one week old, so time remains for the veteran quarterback to build chemistry with Nabers and the other pass catchers. If this doesn't pan out, rookie Jaxson Dart waits for his opportunity to get some snaps.

Regardless of which quarterback takes over the offense, Nabers can point to his "NBF" when asked about any unfortunate sideline camera shots.
