The Washington Commanders rolled the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, but this win did not come without cost. Head coach Dan Quinn ended up with a bloodied face after a collision with quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The hit occurred as Mariota scrambled toward the sideline in the closing seconds of the first half. Raiders defender Tristin McCollum shoved him out of bounds and directly into Quinn's path after a four-yard gain.
The head coach reached out his arms and tried to slow his quarterback down, but he took a shoulder to the face. Quinn fell onto his back and hit his head on the ground while Mariota tumbled over him.

This did not knock Quinn from the game. He continued to coach his team to the 41-24 win after using a towel to wipe his face. He just had blood running down his nose while doing so. The cameras perfectly showed the injury with a close-up on Quinn as he celebrated a 56-yard field goal from Matt Gay, which gave the Commanders a 20-10 halftime lead.
The Commanders delivered a complete performance on Sunday against the new-look Raiders despite missing starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, who sat out with a knee injury.
Mariota threw for 207 yards and a touchdown. He rushed for another score. Running backs Jeremy McNichols and Jacory Croskey-Merritt each scored a touchdown, as did punt returner Jaylin Lane.
Meanwhile, the defense tallied five sacks and eight quarterback hits while mostly keeping Geno Smith and the Raiders in check. Veteran lineback Bobby Wagner accounted for two of these sacks and three of the quarterback hits while continuing to make an impact on defense.
This performance helped the Commanders move to 2-1 on the season. This sets up a battle with the 1-2 Falcons, who failed to score a point against the Panthers during a 30-0 loss on Sunday.
