NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit Week 11

At this point in the fantasy season, every decision matters. Maybe you're one win away from locking in a playoff spot, or maybe you're fighting to avoid a last-place punishment. Either way, one lineup choice could make or break your week. Here are our Week 11 starts and sits to help you keep your season alive.

Running Backs
Start: Rico Dowdle
Dowdle has slowly but surely earned his role in this revamped Carolina offense week by week. After coming over from Dallas on a one-year deal, he was more than ready to show he was still one of the better backs in football. As soon as Chuba Hubbard went down, Dowdle proved just that by rattling off consecutive 200 all-purpose-yard games. Now Dowdle looks to be the main back in Carolina as Hubbard has been sidelined.

Sit: David Montgomery
Montgomery has not lived up to his 2024 numbers so far, and it doesn't look like his new role is a fluke. While he remains a capable north-south runner, the sheer talent from Jahmyr Gibbs rarely gives Montgomery more than a "change-of-pace" role. Combine that with a tough matchup against an Eagles team that gave up only seven points a week ago, and Montgomery is in for a rough outing.

Quarterbacks
Start: Brock Purdy
Purdy gets more than his fair share of hate, with many claiming he's just a product of Kyle Shanahan's system. While the Niners do have a great scheme, the difference between Jimmy Garoppolo and Purdy when each was under center is substantial. The Cardinals are still one of the weaker units in football, and we expect Purdy to make a big statement in his return and show he was worth that massive contract.

Sit: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes is still, undoubtedly, the most durable quarterback in the NFL. But in Week 11 he draws a tough matchup against a division rival in the Broncos, who currently boast one of the three best defenses in football. Combine that with the fact that familiar opponents tend to score fewer points, and it's our consensus to find another option than Mahomes this week.

Wide Receivers
Start: Nico Collins
Collins has quietly had an underwhelming fantasy season. The Houston WR was drafted as a top-15 option in many leagues, but now sits closer to the edge of the top 20 in PPR. A concussion didn't help, but more fundamentally, the Texans offense has stalled this year. Yet Collins continues to get ample targets, especially when Stroud is in. With Stroud returning from injury this week, we like Collins to look more like his former self.

Sit: AJ Brown
If you don't want to take it from us, take it from Brown himself. The Eagles WR literally said, "If you have me in fantasy, drop me," on social media a few days ago as he continues to voice frustration with his role in the offense. Eagles fans might be tired of the antics, but fantasy managers feel his pain as Philly's offense has taken a clear step back from last season. Fade Brown in a tough Detroit matchup.
