Fast forward one year, and Jackson is now the starting safety for the Chicago Bears. And on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, Jackson scored not one, but two 75-yard touchdowns on defense against the Panthers. Jackson became the first defensive player in NFL history to score two 75-yard touchdowns in the same game.
Jackson's former coach, Nick Saban, was asked about Jackson's performance and his ability to come back so quickly and make big plays. Saban said during an appearance at the Monday Morning Quarterback Club in Birmingham that he's really happy for Jackson.
"That's the kind of plays Eddie always seems to make," Saban said. "I was really, really happy for him. But I guess we had quite a few guys — O.J. (Howard) and some other guys. Dont'a (Hightower) played well, I guess. Heard a lot of positive things about a lot of our players in the NFL yesterday."

The first of Jackson's touchdowns came on a 75-yard scoop and score in the first quarter.
The second came later in the first half on a pick six.
Jackson's two touchdowns led the Bears to a victory over the Panthers, and it kept the Bears in a spot where they can compete for the division title.
It was an impressive performance from Jackson, especially considering how he suffered a brutal injury a year ago.
