The Vikings announced Wednesday that they signed Beckham to their practice squad, a week after the Giants released him following an unproductive reunion, according to ESPN.
Beckham, 33, played just 19 offensive snaps across three games for New York without recording a catch.
Minnesota offers some familiar faces. Beckham and Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell won Super Bowl LVI together with the Rams. He also worked with Minnesota assistant head coach Frank Smith during his 2024 stint with the Dolphins.
The Vikings are 4-0, but their receiving corps could use help.
Justin Jefferson missed Week 4 with a sprained left ankle, and his availability for Week 5 remains uncertain. Veteran Jauan Jennings, signed to complement Jefferson and Jordan Addison, has caught only two passes for nine yards.
Minnesota also added receiver Jeshaun Jones to its practice squad Wednesday.
For Beckham, the signing provides a chance to show he can still contribute. It does not put him on the active roster or guarantee playing time.
The three-time Pro Bowl receiver sat out the 2025 season after catching nine passes for 54 yards with Miami in 2024. His return to the Giants, where he spent his first five NFL seasons, ended quickly.
Beckham has 575 career receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns. His next task is earning a role in Minnesota.
