The chants at Lambeau Field told the story. As Micah Parsons gave his postgame interview following the Packers' 27-18 win over the Commanders on Thursday night, fans serenaded him with cries of "Thank you, Jerry."

That would be Jerry Jones, of course — the Cowboys owner who shocked the league by sending Parsons to Green Bay in one of the most polarizing trades in recent memory. And for at least one night, Packers fans were more than happy to rub it in.
Parsons himself only fueled the storyline, declaring "defense wins championships" after wreaking havoc against Washington. He looked every bit like the missing piece of a Packers team suddenly being talked about as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Back in Dallas, Jones did his best to explain the move during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan. He argued the trade was less about Parsons and more about Dak Prescott's future.
"This was a very conscious trade to get three, four, five, six players for one," Jones said, via team reporter Tommy Yarrish. "The one player? Outstanding. He's very, very special. But this was the best way to maximize our chance to get a Super Bowl for Dak."
The Cowboys received Kenny Clark and two first-round picks in the deal, and Jones insisted those assets could build a stronger, deeper roster. Still, the sight of Parsons terrorizing quarterbacks in Green Bay won't make the sales job any easier.
The scoreboard — and the chants — aren't on his side right now.
