The Barstool Sports podcast announced the news on Dec. 17. The hosts explained that this move will take place sometime after Jan. 1, and it will provide them with an opportunity to give a bigger "piece of the pie" to the workers behind the scenes.

"Major news," co-host Dan "Big Cat" Katz said. "So in 2026, January — we don't have the exact date — but we have come to a deal with Netflix. So 'Pardon My Take' is going to be on Netflix.

"So here's how it's going to work — the podcast video will be exclusively on Netflix. ...If you are a listener and you are listening to this on Spotify or Apple or wherever you listen to it, literally nothing is changing."

"Pardon My Take" launched in February 2016 and quickly became a popular platform for sports fans. Multitudes tuned in to listen to Big Cat and PFT Commenter have fun while discussing some of the biggest sports topics.

The hosts also hold an annual competition to name the "Blake of the Year." This tightly-contested event has featured athletes Blake Bortles and Blake Griffin celebrating wins.

Numerous big name guests have stopped by "Pardon My Take" since 2016 to join in on the fun. This includes former quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who now works as an NFL analyst for Prime Video, and Eagles tackle Lane Johnson.

This sports podcast has also hosted several drivers from the ranks of NASCAR. The list includes Denny Hamlin, two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, and 2024 champion Ryan Blaney.

The Barstool Sports show is not the only one to land on Netflix for 2026 and beyond. The streamer also announced a partnership with audio platform iHeartRadio that will make a large list of video podcasts exclusive.

Some of the titles heading to Netflix as part of this deal include "The Breakfast Club," "Joe and Jada," "My Favorite Murder," and "Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast."
