During the highly anticipated Monday Night Football matchup between the Ravens and Buccaneers, things went from bad to worse for Tampa Bay fans, as they came up short in the game 41-31 and unfortunately also lost their two star receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwins to injuries.

That is to say, after scoring his 100th career touchdown to start the game, Evans appeared to re-aggravate a hamstring injury on a second touchdown attempt during the first half.

Then with the game already out of reach, down by 10 points with one minute left, Godwin caught a 21-yard catch but went down with what has been reported as a dislocated ankle. The 28-year-old wide receiver had to be carted off the field.
In view of the play, Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith appeared to land on him awkwardly, and it was so gruesome that the ESPN broadcast booth said they wouldn't show the replay.

To note, Godwin previously suffered a torn ACL/MCL injury at the end of the 2021 season, but has achieved three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons since then.
Throughout his eight-year career, since being drafted in the third round out of Penn State, Godwin has racked up 7,201 yards on 572 catches, to go with a total of 41 touchdowns.
The Bucs will attempt to overcome adversity, as quarterback Baker Mayfield will have to be without Evans and Godwin for the foreseeable future.
All in all, Tampa Bay now sits with a 4-3 record, tied with the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South division, who they will play next week Sunday, October 27 at 1:00 pm ET.
