No one knows who will perform at the biggest event on the sports calendar, but TMZ has details on the selection process. The outlet reports that sources say Justin Bieber and Harry Styles are atop booker Roc Nation's list.

Led by Jay-Z, the company has the final say on the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer each year.

TMZ notes that the NFL and Roc Nation have not yet approached either singer about the possibility of performing at Super Bowl 61, which will take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. If a deal happens, it would be in the coming weeks.

The NFL traditionally announces the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer in September, so the league is running a bit behind in securing an artist for the Feb. 14, 2027, show.

The concert during the final game of the NFL season has featured countless performers from different genres over the decades. This includes Bad Bunny last season.

Other prominent artists who have performed include Prince, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Tom Petty, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Aerosmith, U2, the Rolling Stones, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd.

The last Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium (Feb. 13, 2022) featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.

One group that has not yet performed during the Super Bowl Halftime Show is the Backstreet Boys, and the members of this group would like to change that. Multiple members told media that they would love to have a star-studded performance blending genres.

"I had this idea where if we could get Christina Aguilera, and then I think the irony — but also, in my mind, genius — would be to have Blink-182," AJ McLean recently said to paparazzi. "Because back in the day when we were battling it out on TRL, they made fun of us in the "All the Small Things" video.

"Predominantly us. It wasn't just us, it was us, *NSYNC, and 98 Degrees. But, I've become friends with those guys. Travis Barker is actually my neighbor. ... I think it would be kind of legendary to have Travis Barker up there, ripping it up, playing 'Backstreet's Back' and maybe having all of us up there singing 'All the Small Things' together."
