"My life is all about accountability. So right now, I have family members who are cops. We've had conversations. Yes, I will say I could've been better," Hill said to the media. "I could've let my window down at that instant but the thing about me is I don't want attention. I don't wanna be like cameras out, phones on you at that moment."
To note, Hill was originally pulled over for going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to Miami-Dade police. Then subsequently instead of receiving a normal traffic ticket, things escalated after the police and NFL player interacted.
Although Hill admitted he could have listened and obeyed the cops' instructions better, he pointed out that they used aggressive force which was unneeded.
“At the end of the day, I’m human. I’ve got to follow rules… But does that give them the right to beat the dog out of me? Absolutely not.”

"But at the end of that day, I'm human. I gotta follow rules. Do what everyone else would do. Now does that give them the right to literally beat the dog out of me? Absolutely not. But at the end of the day, I wish I could go back and do things differently."

In view of the situation, Hill seemingly did not adhere to the cops' orders right away when they told him to roll down his window, that is when one of the officers pulled the Dolphins player out of the vehicle and pinned him to the ground while handcuffing him.
After around 25 minutes, Hill was eventually released, as he walked away with two citations, one for careless driving and another for a seat belt violation.
As for the specific belligerent cops involved, who seemed to have escalated the situation, Hill has called for them to be fired.
