Tyreek Hill had a day he'll never forget. The star Miami Dolphins receiver was detained by police officers for a traffic violation on his way to the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars game. Video of his arrest surfaced shortly after of officers pinning him to the ground.
Details remain scarce but Hill was able to play in the game and for the Jaguars, he proved to be a man on a mission. The speedster ran his way for 130 yards and a score, which came on an impressive 80-yard catch and run en route to a comeback win. His celebration immediately afterwards saw him reenact being arrested as teammate Jaylen Waddle came up with Hill's hands behind him and played the role of an officer.

After the game, Hill gave the quite the interview when asked about his whirlwind of a day by CBS Sports' Melanie Collins. He started off by sharing how he told his wife when he left in the morning that he was heading out to prepare for his big game, "Little did I know, there was quite a surprise on the way."
"At the end of the day, dog, I've got a job to do," Hill continued. "My job is to come inside this stadium and be great, dog."

He then confirmed what reports had suggested earlier of a few of his teammates stopping at the scene to assist him. That group included Jonnu Smith, Jordyn Brooks, and Calais Campbell, who shared in a separate interview he, too, was arrested.
"I loved that," Hill said about his teammates who stopped by the scene. "That f——- fired me up. To see Jonnu, to see Calais, right there in the heat of the battle, that shows it's more than about football. The brotherhood we have outside of football is just amazing. Those dudes were risking their lives for me... shout to Jonnu, shoutout to Calais, shoutout to [Brooks]."
Head coach Mike McDaniel also was proud of the guys who intervened when they saw what was happening with Hill.
Regarding the specifics of what happened, Hill wouldn't go into it. He insisted "let bygones be bygones" and for everyone to "move on and learn from" the experience.
CNN has reported the officer in question has been placed on administrative duty.
Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter. One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted," Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels said in a statement. "I'm committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers."
