Oilers Flasher Kait Flynn Reveals She Initially Ghosted Playboy

When Playboy calls, there could be one problem. And that's believing that it's actually Playboy on the other end of the line. Just ask kait Flynn of Edmonton Oilers fame.

Actually, Flynn isn't known for playing for the Oilers, but for going down in history at a playoff game. More specifically, Flynn went viral for flashing the crowd — and some cameras — on her way to going viral. An offer from Playboy followed.

But when they messaged, Flynn wasn't so sure it was actually them, she revealed in an interview on the Off the Vine podcast.

"Playboy messaged me and I ignored [it]," Flynn said. "For like, days, I'm like 'Who is this freak pretending to be Playboy?' then I sent it to my friend and she was like 'That's a real person you're ignoring, like [it's] actually Playboy, you need to do this.'"

Eventually, she did.

All this and Flynn has returned her regular job after posing for the men's entertainment magazine. Apparently, going viral doesn't pay the bills.

"The Oilers' most infamous fan is back at work after inking a Playboy deal off the back of her viral success," wrote the Daily Mail. "Kait Flynn took to Instagram on Wednesday following Edmonton's Stanley Cup loss to the Florida Panthers, sharing a pic of herself heading to work in the oil fields."

She captioned the snap, "Happy hump day."

The Oilers failed in their bid to come back from a 3-0 deficit against the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals, losing Game 7 by a goal. For her efforts, Flynn joked that she should have won Finals MVP.

At least Playboy may agree with her — even if she didn't really believe it was them at first.
