WWE celebrated the 25th anniversary of Raw on Monday night, and the show saw several former legends make their returns to television.

Of those legends, one notable name was missing from the broadcast: WWE Hall of Famer and former Women's Champion Lita. WWE appeared to be promoting Lita for the show, and the company has done a lot recently in promoting her old matches with Trish Stratus a key piece in the "women's revolution". However, Lita — real name Amy Dumas — said via Twitter on Monday night that she was not on the guest list for the show.
As Lita mentions there, she is featured on the commemorative ringside chair for the event, which also featured other returning superstars like Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker.
There could be several things at play here, including the possibility that WWE didn't want Lita at the show. There is also the chance that with how many people were returning to the show, WWE didn't feel that her appearance would add anything on top of what they already had.
Of course, one potentially fun scenario: Lita could be saved as a surprise entrant in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match on Sunday. If she is actually returning on Sunday, then she didn't HAVE to be at the show on Monday as well.
Lita is a four-time Women's Champion in WWE. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.
Women's performers that did return on Monday night: Trish Stratus, Jacqueline, Michelle McCool, the Bella Twins, Lilian Garcia, Torrie Wilson, Terri Runnels, Maryse, Kelly Kelly, and Maria Kanellis.
