WWE suddenly announced on Friday that Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns would be unable to compete at Sunday's TLC pay-per-view, and that A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle — wrestling his first WWE match since 2006 — had been added in their respective places.

After rumors that viral meningitis had affected Reigns, Wyatt, and Bo Dallas — Wyatt's real life brother — WWE released this statement to ESPN about the status of all three.
"We have confirmed that three of our performers have been diagnosed with a viral infection. As a precautionary measure, we are ensuring in-ring performers and staff are tested and immunized in accordance with recommended medical guidelines."
Both Dallas and Wyatt had been off television in recent weeks, though Wyatt did technically appear via pre-taped segments on the titantron. Reigns, however, was on television as recently as Monday, wrestling in a cage match main event against Braun Strowman.
With Reigns and Wyatt off TLC, WWE is now relying on Angle's in-ring return and a dream match between Styles and Finn Balor to carry interest in the show.
