Brewer began her racing career at 11, as she made her way through the U.S. karting ranks, finally reaching open-wheel racing in 2021 after previously putting her racing career on hold while she attended college at San Diego State University.

Alongside her racing career thus far she has quickly built up a major social media presence. That includes a baffling 3.5 million followers across her social media platforms.

The 26-year-old will make the biggest leap of her racing career, graduating from the USF Pro 2000 Championship, where she raced the past two years with a career best finish of 8th, to drive Juncos Hollinger Racing in the No.76 car in the Indy NXT Series beginning in 2024.

There is sure to be plenty of skepticism about the move, but Brewer has huge backing from sponsors and has plenty of money to make waves in Indy NXT.

According to Racer.com, she will run the complete 14-race schedule in 2024, making her the first American female to race in the top rung of IndyCar's official feeder series since 2007, when Leilani Munter raced in the series.

Brewer has long dreamed of racing in IndyCar, and this is the first major step and chance she will get to try and achieve that goal.

"Driving at the top level of open-wheel racing in the US has been a dream of mine ever since I was a young girl," Brewer said. "To be able to take this step up and drive Indy NXT is not only exciting for me, but also a dream come true."

The Indianapolis 500 has not seen an American female attempt to run the race since Danica Patrick last raced it in 2018.

That possibility probably is something the Denver-born Brewer isn't taking for granted and she is very appreciative to be able to represent the United States by racing full-time in Indy NXT.

"To be representing America and women in a full season at this level of motorsport is something I can be proud of and is motivation for me to work as hard as I possibly can on and off the track. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish," Brewer said.

She has plenty of challenges ahead, but it's good to see an American female getting such a huge opportunity ... it has been too long.
