According to Deadline, Peacock has reportedly greenlit a new television series focused on the Fast & Furious franchise. This follows longtime star and executive producer Vin Diesel announcing the project as part of May's NBCUniversal's Upfront event in New York.
"As you all know, we are very precious about these movies but over the last decade, we've realized that the fans have wanted more, they wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories," Diesel said in May.
"And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space."
Deadline reports that the Fast & Furious TV series will premiere sometime in 2028. It will feature Diesel as executive producer alongside One Race's Sam Vincent, Original Film's Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty, and Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan.
Additional executive producers will include Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who will also serve as writers and showrunners for the series.
Coleman has served as producer on 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Village, and Shades of Blue. He also wrote on all three projects.

The most recent film is Fast X, which released in 2023 and made more than the $700 million in the worldwide box office. The series has also featured the offshoot Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
Fast & Furious had been in limbo for multiple years while Diesel dealt with some legal issues behind the scenes, but the franchise will return in March 2028 with Fast Forever. This is scheduled to be the final film.
