According to a press release, Hocevar's No. 77 Chili's Chevrolet Camaro will go back in time roughly four decades. It will have a blue and yellow scheme throwing it back to Earnhardt's 1981 season. This was one of the seasons in which the Hall of Famer had Wrangler as a primary sponsor.

Some notable differences will be in place as Hocevar heads to Darlington Raceway. He will have a blue Chili's font on the hood and sides of his Chevrolet whereas Earnhardt had Wrangler on his car. Additionally, the rear of the car will say "Marg Machine" instead of "Jeans Machine."

"Last year, we noticed the chatter comparing Carson's driving style to a young Dale Earnhardt, and it's only grown louder as big names in the sport make the comparison," said Chili's Director of Media Tim Forman.

"Given the discussion, we wanted to honor Dale's legacy, using his 1981 paint scheme as the inspiration for what we're calling the Marg Machine. Spire and Carson were all in, and we hope fans enjoy seeing the iconic blue and yellow on track again."

This marks the second time this season that Chili's and Hocevar have unveiled a scheme change with a "Dale Earnhardt vibe." They also revealed in February a black and white version of the Ride the 'Dente scheme. They paired this scheme with an all-black firesuit and black cowboy hat.

Hocevar showed off this "intimidating" scheme during the trip to Circuit of the Americas, where he finished 31st. The design then made its way onto a shirt bearing Hocevar's nickname, "Hurricane."

However, designer Harris Lue went a step further by putting the black Ride the 'Dente scheme on a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This fully leaned into the Earnhardt comparisons.
