CONCORD, N.C. — Steady rainfall at Charlotte Motor Speedway forced NASCAR to alter the weekend schedule. The sanctioning body canceled qualifying and set the Cup Series starting lineup by the Rule Book.

This means that points leader Tyler Reddick will lead the field to the green flag on Sunday night to kick off the Coca-Cola 600 (6 p.m. ET on Prime Video). This will mark his fifth time leading the starting lineup this season and the second time due to rain.

Ty Gibbs will line up next to Reddick to form an all-Toyota front row. This is his fourth time starting on one of the top two rows this season.

The rest of the top 10 will include Shane van Gisbergen, Michael McDowell, Chase Briscoe, Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, Austin Cindric, Austin Dillon, and AJ Allmendinger.

Denny Hamlin, the winner of the first Coca-Cola 600 in the Gen 7 era, will line up 11th. He will have Ryan Preece next to him.

Austin Hill, the driver who has the truly difficult task of replacing Kyle Busch after the champion's unexpected death, will line up 13th in the No. 33 Chevrolet. He will be next to Daniel Suarez.

The starting lineup will include 39 cars, so none will miss the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday.

Corey Heim will start last as he makes his fourth start of the Cup Series season. Katherine Legge will start 37th as she seeks to become the first woman to attempt the Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600 in the same day.

Timmy Hill will drive the third Open car this weekend. He will line up 36th overall for the crown jewel race.

While rain forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying, the drivers did have an opportunity to prepare for Sunday's race. They merged into one big group for a combined practice session. This marked the first on-track activity for any of these drivers.
