Kaden Honeycutt crossed the line in second place. The rest of the top five included Layne Riggs, Chandler Smith, and Stewart Friesen. (NASCAR later disqualified Smith after the No. 38 failed post-race inspection. This moved Friesen to fourth place and Grant Enfinger to fifth.)

Last season's champion entered the race with $50,000 to his name. He had won the opening Triple Truck Challenge race at Darlington Raceway, which set him up for another payday. If he won another Triple Truck Challenge race, he would boost this number to $150,000.

Heim did exactly that. He took the lead from teammate Tanner Gray during the opening stage and then he swept the stage wins. The Tricon Garage driver led a career-high 178 laps and held off teammate Honeycutt in the closing laps to capture the checkered flag.

This race also marked another record-setting outing for the NASCAR prospect. He led in his 29th consecutive race, which broke Kyle Busch's series record.

Yet, this was not an easy finish for Heim, who had a 7-second lead at one point in this race. He began experiencing an issue with one of his tires as he tried to navigate through heavy lapped traffic in the closing laps. This gave Honeycutt the chance to erase the deficit and pull up to the rear of Heim's truck.

Honeycutt actually got beside his teammate at the white flag and earned credit for leading one lap. He just couldn't hold this advantage after getting behind Gray. Heim ultimately pulled away coming out of Turn 4.

"I didn't feel like I was pushing any harder than the previous run," he told Fox Sports' Josh Sims. "So I didn't feel like I did any more damage to the right front, but all of a sudden, I think it was like four (laps) to go, my truck just started...I had to turn more right down the straightaway to keep it straight.

"My wheel was clocked like 20 degrees to the right, and then we started chattering really bad in the corners. I was like, 'Oh boy, here we go.'"

The work isn't done for Heim, who led the points standings despite only being part-time in the Truck Series this season. He can win even more money next Friday at Bristol Motor Speedway and make NASCAR history.

If Heim wins the third and final Triple Truck Challenge race, he will boost the payday to $500,000. No driver in the history of this bonus program has ever swept all three races. Sheldon Creed is the only other driver to score the $150,000 bonus, which he did in 2020.

Based on Heim's history at Bristol Motor Speedway, he will have a solid opportunity to achieve this feat.

The Georgia native has only made six Truck Series starts at the Tennessee track. He has finished inside the top 10 in all six races while leading 209 laps. He won at the track in 2023. He finished second, third, and third in his last three starts at Bristol.

Now, he will return to the fan-favorite track with an opportunity to lock up his third consecutive win and $500,000.
