NASCAR Hall of Famer Kurt Busch has successfully reunited with an "old friend" after the Mecum auction at Nashville Superspeedway.

Busch won his No. 99 Ford truck that he used to compete during the 2000 Craftsman Truck Series season. He drove this particular truck to the win at Dover Motor Speedway in 2000.
This trip to Dover marked his third of four wins that season and helped him finish second in the championship standings behind teammate Greg Biffle.

According to a video posted on social media, Busch spent more on the No. 99 Ford than he wanted. He placed the winning bid of $100,000, but he did not complain. After all, he gave some money back to team owner Jack Roush, who played a major role in his career.
This truck features a Roush Racing 358 CI Ford V-8 engine, a four-speed manual transmission, a ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems racing seat with a Simpson racing harness, and a roll cage. It has the Exide scheme with hand-airbrushed lightning details.
This No. 99 Ford was one of 39 vehicles that Roush brought to the Mecum auction at Nashville Superspeedway. The championship-winning owner parted ways with several vehicles from NASCAR, as well as many high-powered street cars. His lot also included some motorcycles.

The NASCAR selections included Greg Biffle's No. 16 Ford Taurus, which Cleetus McFarland won. It also had a 2012 Ford Fusion with a pink livery, which helped raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Roush also auctioned off a 2003 Taurus driven by Matt Kenseth on a road course, a 2007 Fusion used by Carl Edwards, a 2009 Fusion used by Edwards and Biffle, a 2000 Taurus used by Mark Martin, a 2000 Taurus used by Jeff Burton, a 2009 F-150 used by Colin Braun, a 2011 Mustang used by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., a 2008 Fusion used by Edwards, and a 2005 F-150 used in the Racer X series.
The lot also featured a historic 2011 Mustang that sold for more than $73,000. This vehicle made history as the first Mustang to win an O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race. Edwards achieved this at Texas Motor Speedway in 2011.
