Jimmie Johnson, a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, his wife, Chandra Janway, and the rest of their family are reeling from a tragedy that occurred Monday night.
According to TMZ Sports, police in Muskogee, Oklahoma, are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving Janway's parents and her young nephew. In the report, TMZ Sports said police found the bodies of Terry Janway, 68, Jack Janway, 69, and 11-year-old Dalton Janway, in the Janways' home. Police said they received a 911 call from the home around 9 p.m. local time.

Police said that when they arrived at the scene, they discovered one body in the hallway and then heard a gunshot from another part of the home, where they found two other bodies. It's been reported that all three died from gunshot wounds, and police said they suspect that Terry Janway was the killer.
A motive was not immediately known.
In 2014, the family dealt with another tragedy, losing Jordan Janway — Chandra Janway's brother and Terry and Jack's son — in a skydiving accident.
Johnson was scheduled to compete in the Chicago Street Course Race this weekend, but he has withdrawn from that.

Muskogee Mayor Marlon Coleman told Fox23 that he knew the family and was a patient at Jack Janway's chiropractic clinic.
"One thing I want to say to my community right now is that more than ever, we need to love each other," Coleman told Fox23. "We need to be concerned about each other enough that if we identify issue with family or friends, that we talk to them and get them the help that they need."
