Joey Logano drifts Ford Model T in North Carolina winter storm

Winter Storm Fern kept millions of people bundled up inside their homes as it moved across the United States. Joey Logano was not in this group, as he used the slippery conditions to drift an antique.

The Team Penske driver posted a video on Sunday afternoon that showed him behind the wheel of his 1924 Ford Model T. He "raced" across the parking lot at his home and then he jerked the steering wheel to the left. The classic car then slid around in the ice and snow.

Granted, this may not have been the most exciting drift on the planet earth, but it marked a potentially historic moment. Who else on the planet has considered taking a car more than a century old and drifting it through the snow?

As Logano has shown in the past, he takes every available opportunity to show the fun side of his cars. It doesn't matter if he is on asphalt, dirt, or snow; Logano likes to mash the gas pedal and slide cars around.

Interestingly, Logano is far from the only person in the United States taking advantage of mostly abandoned streets. He just happens to be in the minority with his vehicle of choice.

As many social media accounts showed on Saturday and Sunday, others chose to use more modern forms of transportation to have some fun in the snow and ice. This includes one person in the heart of Philadelphia.

Jimmy King of the Philadelphia Sports Network posted two videos on Sunday that showed someone in a Cam-Am side-by-side having a blast in the winter conditions.

This person slid the off-road machine around on the snow-covered streets while blasting the song "Man I Need" by the artist Olivia Dean. No other vehicles traveled the roads, so the person had plenty of space to tear through the city. Meanwhile, someone in a horse-drawn buggy performed donuts in the snow.

While the winter storm provides an opportunity for fun, it also poses a major potential for danger. This is something the authorities have tried to make clear with posts across social media platforms. They do not want to see the needless loss of life.

Although the Louisville Metro Police Department mixed in some humor with warning messages to citizens in the area.

"ATTENTION SUBARU OWNERS: This is your friendly reminder that AWD is not a personality and it's definitely not a forcefield. You too, can hit a guardrail," the LMPD posted on X. This was far from the only humorous post from the Kentucky-based account.

"To the driver on the Watterson that's driving like they have star power from Mario Kart... we're starting a tow truck your way, sir. We know what's coming," the LMPD wrote on Sunday.
